Have you fallen out of shape? 😐
That's common when working full-time and raising a family. 👨👨👧👦
But here are 3 simple habits to take back control of your fitness - for good. 🔽
1. Buy food to cook at home every week.
Having high-quality, nutrient-dense food in the house is the first step to controlling your nutrition.
And it's your nutrition that will ultimately decide your shape.
Keeping your fridge and cupboards stocked weekly will help ensure you're eating right and relying less on calorie-dense takeout.
Plus, learning to cook is a great skill to develop as it will help bring the family together, keep them healthier and save the house money.
2. Work out at least once per week.
Being strong and capable is the definition of fitness, but you have to put in the work.
The good news is that even just one high-effort strength training session a week is enough to build muscle, keep your metabolism high, and have you feeling and looking your best.
3. Respect your sleep and get it - 7-9hrs a night.
None of the above happens as effectively unless you're getting proper sleep.
While getting 7-9hrs of sleep can be a challenge with young kids, if there's an opportunity to get to bed early, take it.
Swap Netflix for 💤.
Your body demands sleep to help it efficiently process insulin and stabilize your blood sugar, build muscle as you sleep, and keep your mind clear in the morning so you can focus on being productive the next day.
Start with these habits to get going again (or introduce them for the first time) to be well on your way to regaining control of your fitness and feeling the way you should, your best!
Be strong and be well,
