I wanted to take some time to share with you our plan for when our sweet baby makes its appearance in the world! We've been so grateful to have all of your support, and while I'm going to miss you so much, I will need to take some time off to recover after the birth.
The good news is - the schedule won't look much different! We've been working hard to find ways to help you stay accountable, engaged and consistent while I'm off, and we want to share our plan with you so you feel comfortable and confident continuing your membership (or investing in our one-year annual memberships that are on sale soon!) From the bottom of our hearts, we appreciate your support of our small business.
When the baby is born (mid August - wouldn't it be great if babies came with a tracking number & delivery date lol) you'll receive an email to let you know that classes for the remainder of the week will be delivered via pre-recordings (I've already been working hard at recording some fun and challenging classes for you!!!)
The following Monday, we will start a Sweat For Jojo challenge!!! This challenge will help you stay motivated and inspired (and keep me super happy because I'll be missing working out but seeing you all do it will bring me such joy!).
The first 2-3 weeks of the challenge will be pre-recorded classes with Jojo & Sheldon and two live classes with Coach Sydney (giving both myself and Sheldon some time to adjust to parenthood). After that we will be easing back into a regular schedule for 4-6 weeks of live classes, pre-recordings and community viewings! See below for the tentative schedule.
What are community viewings?
Like you would for a live class you'd join via the zoom link, Coach Sheldon (or me when I'm feeling ready for it!) will come on and say hello, let you know what you need and welcome you! We'll share our screen, music and play the pre-recorded class that I've created - it will feel very similar to a live class!! You will all work out together as a community and help each other stay motivated and accountable!
Who is Sydney?
You may have taken a yoga or pilates class with Coach Sydney on our platform before! Sydney, @sculptwithsyd is a pilates, barre, yoga and strength instructor who's not only been teaching some yoga and pilates for us on the platform, but she and her now-husband have been taking live and recorded classes with you all over the past 6 months! Her favourite class is Triple S, so she's super excited to be able to teach that and Arms & Abs for you all! She will be hooked up with a mic and be playing energetic playlists, so you'll get the same experience as any other Body by Jojo classes!
When am I returning to live classes?
As long as everything goes as planned and I am cleared, I will be joining the live class schedule for 1 class per week after 6-8 weeks. From there, I will slowly take over my regular classes as I feel ready to do so. As I mentioned before, I am pre-recording some new classes for you, and we will also feature some of my past favourite classes on our weekly schedule, so you still get your Jojo fix ;)
